Higonokami

250.00

This is my take on the traditional Japanese friction folder , the Higonokami, orignally designed in Japan in 1896. This is friction folder which has no locking mechanism, and instead relies on friction from the pivot screw and the users thumb to keep the knife held open while in use. Featuring a .125” thick single piece copper body, .110” thick aeb-l stainless blade, and a titanium pivot screw. This knife is built to last generations.

Model: Higo No Kami

Overall length: 6.5”

Blade length: 3”

Closed length: 4.25”

Steel: Aeb-l stainless at 62 HRC

Finish: Acid stonewash

Handle: One piece copper body

Sheath: Custom biker leather pocket slip included

*Copper will gain a patina over time. This patina will vary greatly based on your location and chemical makeup. You’ll see color changes from muddy brown, to greens, blues, and purples. Patina can easily be removed with a soft cloth and gentle polishing compound.
